Adults will be able to enter for prizes by reading books and attending programs. We will be offering adult programming every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM!

June 13: Bridget’s Book Club
A.J. Fikry’s life is in a downward spiral. He has lost his beloved wife, sales at his bookstore are at an all-time low, and someone has stolen his prize possession – a collection of poems by Edgar Allan Poe. But then a surprise package appears at his store, and A.J. begins to see everything in a whole new light. This novel is a delightful tale of second chances, and a love letter to readers everywhere! Join us for a discussion of The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin. Registration is optional.

June 20: Galactic Jewelry
Want to make something out of this world? How about a galaxy necklace! We will have all the materials you need to make a unique pendant that is fun and easy to make. No crafting skills needed. Registration is required for supply preparation.

June 27: Knit a Story: Part One
Wrap someone in love by knitting scarves, hats, or both for an individual who may be struggling in our area. Knit Lit will then donate these items to KnitHope, an organization in the Pittsburgh area that collects and distributes handmade scarves and hats to those in need. For more information, check out KnitHope’s website at www.knithope.org. We will go over the guidelines and hand out some pattern ideas. In addition, if you do not know how to knit, but would like to learn, we can teach you! Registration is optional.

July 11: Bridget’s Book Club
Stella Lane is a mathematical wizard who creates algorithms that can predict customer purchases. When it comes to romance, however, Stella is a real novice. Like a true businesswoman, she hires an expert in the field to help her out – escort Michael Phan. What follows is a light-hearted romantic romp that reminds all of us that when it comes to love, there is no predicting the outcome. Join us for a discussion of The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang. Registration is optional.

July 18: Universal Book Swap
Join us for our first ever book swap event. Bring some of your own books that you’ve read and exchange them for different titles with other book lovers. As an added bonus, each attendee will get to select a book from the library’s donations to take home. Registration is required.

July 25: Knit a Story: Part Two
Show off your finished project for KnitHope! If you haven’t finished yet, don’t worry. We will collect items until Friday, September 6. Registration is optional.

August 1: Constellation Art
Do you like stargazing or have a favorite constellation? Bring a little of the night sky into your home by making your own piece of art. All supplies will be provided so advance registration is required.
