June 15:  Bridget’s Book Club (The Island of Sea Women)
Set on the Korean island of Jeju, this novel follows Mi-ja and Young-sook, two individuals from different backgrounds, as they work in the sea with their village’s all-female diving collective. After hundreds of dives and decades of friendship, forces outside their control will push their relationship to the breaking point. Join us for a discussion of The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See.

June 22: Knitting Possibilities (Part One)
Help someone this summer by knitting scarves or hats for an individual who may be struggling. Knit Lit will then donate these items to KnitHope, an organization in the Pittsburgh area that collects and distributes handmade scarves and hats to those in need. For more information, check out their website at

July 13:  Bridget’s Book Club (The Guncle)
GUP (Gay Uncle Patrick) loves his niece and nephew. When his sister-in-law passes away, he steps in as a guardian to the children. But loving and taking responsibility are two very different things. As Patrick rises to his new responsibilities, he discovers that he is just the person these children need, and in the process, heals himself. Join us for a book discussion of The Guncle by Steven Rowley.

July 20:  Journal Night
Do you keep a journal? Would you like to be able to write your own? Here is your opportunity! Explore the written world through journaling prompts, readings, and reflection. Please bring your favorite notebook, and we will provide a variety of writing utensils to help you create your journal. Reminder: this program begins at 5:30PM.

July 27:  Knitting Possibilities (Part Two)
Show off your finished project for KnitHope! Place your item into a Ziploc bag with a label that states whether it is adult or child sized, and our group’s name: Knit Lit at Northern Tier Regional Library. Feel free to include a note of encouragement or positive thoughts for your recipient, too. If you haven’t finished yet, don’t worry! We will collect items until Friday, September 30.
