Pick up a copy of this recipe in the library’s lobby and follow the instructional video to make two simple ways to eat fresh fruits and vegetables. You can add other veggies to your toast. Play around with your fruit combinations for the smoothie

July 22: Mixed Berry Crisp

Pick up a copy of this recipe in the library’s lobby and follow the instructional video to make an easy summery dessert. You can add nuts to your topping and pick any berry or stone fruit for the filling.

July 15: Fruit Kebabs and Granola

Pick up a copy of this recipe in the library’s lobby and follow the instructional video to make colorful kebabs with fruit you love and might have at home already. We will also make a granola for a full breakfast dish that it’s easy and fun to make your own way. Pick different seeds or nuts for your granola and you’ll always enjoy in a slightly different way.

July 8 – Flatbread with Pesto

Pick up a copy of this recipe in the library’s lobby and follow the instructional video to make your own pesto. Pesto can be used in so many ways: pasta, salads, sandwiches. This time we will use the pesto in a savory flatbread with cheese and veggies.

July 1 – Buttermilk Waffles

Pick up a copy of this recipe in the library’s lobby and follow the instructional video to make your own buttermilk waffles. Make sure to ask help from an adult when using the waffle maker. You can freeze this waffles and use them up as you would any other store bought waffles.

These wafflers are great with simple syrup or some cinnamon sugar. You can also top them with fresh fruit & whipped cream and even fried chicken!

June 24 – Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup

Pick up a copy of this recipe in the library’s lobby and follow the instructional video to make your own grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup to dip in. Make sure to ask help from an adult when using the stove or oven.

Try different combinations of cheese and bread until you find one you like. You can always add eggs, ham, bacon or veggies to your grilled cheese sandwiches. You can also use gluten free bread for a gluten free meal.

June 17 – Chili & Taco Seasoning

Pick up a copy of this recipe in the library’s lobby and follow the instructional video to make your own spice mix. There’s so many dishes and ways you can use this mix. I made nachos!
