Nature Programs

Bluebirds
The iconic bluebird, once common across our state, faced a serious decline in the mid-1900s. Conservation efforts have helped to turn that around, but are still on-going.
Join Master Naturalist trainee Hilary Stroud on Tuesday, March 16 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM as we explore the life and habits of this beautiful bird and learn about the bluebird house monitoring program happening right in our own backyard at North Park. Join us to find out more about the bluebird and the challenges it faces, and if there’s anything you can do to help.
Registration is required to receive the Zoom meeting invitation link.

Cicada 101
What is that awful noise keeping you awake all night in the summer? It’s the Magi Cicada!
Join Master Naturalist Kristen Haas on Tuesday, March 23 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM as she explains what they are, where they come from, what they do, and where they go after they emerge. Learn all about these fascinating insects and listen to their songs, and maybe you’ll gain a new appreciation for all of that racket!
Registration is required to receive the Zoom meeting invitation link.
