This year, you can log the books and activities you’ve completed using a website called Beanstack! Beanstack can be accessed below or downloaded as an app to your device. This website allows users to log the books they’ve read, complete activities and challenges, and earn virtual badges and tickets for prize raffles. There will be a diverse group of gift cards prizes to choose from, so we encourage every member of the family to participate!
Registering for Beanstack
On the Beanstack Landing Page, you will need to either create an account or log in to an already existing account. (If you’ve used Beanstack before and are having trouble logging, contact library staff for help.)
After registering for Beanstack, you will see a long list of summer reading programs for all of the libraries in Allegheny County who are participating in this pilot. It’s important that you choose Northern Tier Library from this list!
The best practice for parents or caregivers is for the adult or parent to register for the account with all of their children or the people they are responsible for under them. This way they can manage and control everyone’s account from one login to the system. The first person registering for a Beanstack account is the Account Creator.
