The Friends of the Northern Tier Library are proud to present their annual Authors Night. The evening will feature four local authors:
- Ben Gwin grew up in New Jersey but attended the University of Pittsburgh and Chatham University for graduate school. Clean Time: The True Story of Ronald Regan Middleton is his debut novel.
- Audrey Abbott grew up in Pittsburgh and was associated with the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh for 22 years. The Lady’s Desire, a historical suspense romance, is her debut novel and the first in a series of three.
- Lori Jakiela is a professor of Creative Writing at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg. She has published poetry and two memoirs, and her most recent is Belief Is Its Own Kind of Truth, Maybe.
- Therese Rocco is known to her colleagues as The Rock. This diminutive woman, at the age of nineteen, began her career in law enforcement as a clerk in a small, all-female missing persons unit of the Pittsburgh Police Department. Therese Rocco: Pittsburgh’s First Female Assistant Police Chief is her memoir.
The program will be about an hour long, followed by a question and answer session with refreshments. The authors will have copies of their books for sale and available to sign.
