Parents are encouraged to join us for an hour-long workshop hosted by Dr. Bekir Mugayitoglu on discovering various STEM activities for their children. This workshop will situate STEM into the everyday lives of families to help their kids understand complexity, think critically, and create confidently. Parents will be provided with activities that emphasize three crucial mindsets to grow their children’s STEM capacity and their use of 21st century skills. During the workshop we will make parents, families, and mentors more aware of how to integrate STEM into their kids’ day-to-day. There is no fee for this program, but registration is required.
This project is made possible in part by Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services and through Library Access Funds administered by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Department of Education, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, Governor.
